Martha Marlow’s debut album Medicine Man has received widespread critical acclaim since it’s release in June 2021; receiving nominations for an ARIA award, Australian Music Prize award, and winning the Australian Women in Music Award.

Her all original compositions were recorded with a 17 piece string ensemble, lead by Veronique Serret (SS0, ACO, Ensemble Offspring) and conducted by Daniel Denholm (Producer of Tim Minchin, Megan Washington, Frente).

Martha Marlow performed ‘Medicine Man’ in its entirety at the City Recital Hall (Sydney) and the Recital Centre ( Melbourne) in 2022. These rare performances were met with standing ovations and were conducted by multiple ARIA award winner Nigel Westlake (Babe, babe 2, Miss Potter, Compassion, (Hon) D Mus)

The orchestrations were written by Aria award winner Jonathan Zwartz, and the album features some of Australia’s finest musicians (Hamish Stuart, Ben Hauptmann, Barney McAll, Clayton Doley, Julien Wilson).

Medicine Man was mixed and mastered by Grammy award winner Helik Hadar (Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell, Madeleine Peyroux).
